Fort William Holiday Lodge
Black Isle Bar
The Black Isle Bar in the centre of Fort William is a top pick for a dog friendly restaurant. It is a lovely spacious restaurant in a converted Church (I think) serving a range of incredible wood fire pizzas. They have a range of their own incredible beers (brewed in the Highlands) and ciders on tap.
Highland Soap Company
My favourite Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch spot in Fort William and a great dog friendly restaurant. Plenty of seating indoors or outdoors (some of it sheltered) so you should be able to find a quiet corner for you and your dogs. Their dog policy is 1 bark is okay but they will ask noisy dogs to leave/ sit outside.
The Grog & Gruel
Another traditional pub in the centre of Fort William that welcomes dogs and serves excellent pub food! ‘Dogs are very welcome in the downstairs alehouse… We can provide a water bowl, possibly a small treat and you can order a dog sausage if your dog is in need of a tasty lunch’
The Highland Cinema Cafe
Possibly the best Burgers in Fort William? The Cafe to the cinema operates on a ‘well behaved dog’ policy with frequent barking being asked to leave so it is a good dog friendly spot at the centre of the high street. There is also some outdoor seating to give your dog a bit more space.
Highly recommended and also very flexible about making the burgers vegetarian friendly.
The Silly Goose
Really great food for an evening meal at the opposite end of the Fort William High street, the Kimchi was amazing. While I was in there I saw a small dog at the table so it’s worth sending them a message when booking to see if they will accomodate your dog(s)!
Clachaig Inn
The famous climbers bar in the heart of Glen Coe is also perfectly suited for dogs. The ‘Boots bar’ (located round the back of the building and along a bit from the front entrance) has a number of booth tables around the sides where your dogs can settle at and not be disturbed.
The Laroch Restaurant and Bar
The lovely Restaurant and bar down the road in Ballachulish, incredible food cooked by Michelin star chef Allan Donalad Sous Chef Eileen Donald and staff. The bar section of the Laroch is dog friendly and spacious so your dogs can relax, and they serve food to the bar section.
The Crofter
This traditional pub in the centre of Fort William welcomes dogs and serves great pub food. Also has live sports and live music.
That wraps up my list of dog friendly restaurants Fort William, if you’ve been to a dog friendly restaurant around Fort William that’s not on the list please let me know! If you’re able to leave your dogs with someone else and want to know some other options please check out our Food & Drink page.
