Perfect if you’re staying at Highwinds as it’s a short walk from the house. Worth travelling out to if you’re not.
Set in a cosy little pub, the food here is delicious and cooked to a high-end restaurant standard. At the time of writing, for the advertised price you can have more of your main of choice (salmon, steak or halloumi & vegetables), bottomless fries, and accompanying salad and bread.
The Factors Inn is not open in the winter months.
Old Pines Hotel Restaurant
One of my favourite Fort William Restaurants. This restaurant is set in a stunning location and sources its ingredients locally for a fantastic seasonal Highland menu. Old pines serves amazing 5 course meals for £45. It’s just down the road to us past Spean Bridge and on the way to the Commando memorial so not a big drive at all. Booking a table is essential to avoid disapointment.

The Silly Goose
‘The Silly Goose at the Lime Tree stands as Fort William’s premier fine dining establishment’. Incredible food everything made fresh from the kitchen. We had the Duck and Kimchi and it was amazing, a good atmostphere and friendly staff.

Highland Soap Company
The perfect breakfast/brunch or lunch option in Fort William. The food is incredible and the shop has a big selection of locally produced arts and crafts. A must visit in Fort William.

Black Isle Bar
The top pick for pizza in Fort William. The Black Isle Bar has a very relaxed atmostphere in an old converted church. Great wood fired pizza and an amazing range of craft beer.
Spice Tandoori
If you’re looking for a good curry in Fort William look no further than Spice Tandoori! It’s a lovely modern space inside or you can phone up, collect and eat at Highwinds!
The Geographer
A gem in the centre of Fort William, The Geographer’s menu is inspired by the owners’ travels around the world. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of gluten free dishes, locally brewed beer and a lovely cosy atmosphere.
In the summer you can enjoy the local shellfish! Perfect for lunch if you’ve popped into Fort William to do some shopping or for a delicious dinner in the evening. If you’ve got any questions about the local area or things to do, be sure to chat to the owners and they’ll be happy to help! You can’t book a table for the Geographer, simply turn up and hope for the best, the wait shouldn’t be too long.

Clachaig Inn Boots Bar
If you’ve just enjoyed a walk in Glen Coe, it’s definitely worth stopping by this historic climbers’ pub. Make sure to visit ‘The Boots Bar’, at the rear of the property, for the full experience. A very relaxed atmosphere and lots of booths you can put your feed up and rest in, perfect for a group.

Garrison West
Close to The Highland Cinema, just off the High Street, is one of the best Fort William restaurants for locally caught, fresh seafood. The extensive menu is served in a warm and cosy atmosphere – the perfect location for a beautiful meal on both winter and summer evenings. A must for seafood lovers! The carpark at Morrisons has free parking for a few hours and it is a 5 minute walk from there.

Lochleven Seafood Cafe
A bit of a drive, but quoted in the michelin with the following ‘This laid-back seafood restaurant is part of a family business that started with the neighbouring shellfish shop. It’s superbly set on the loch shore and offers stunning water and mountain views. West Coast fish is listed on the blackboards and shellfish comes from the seawater tanks next door.’

Inverlochy Castle
If you’re looking for the fanciest Fort William Restaurants then the Inverlochy Castle is for you, and it’s very close by. Please be aware that the restaurant has a dress code – jackets required for gentlemen. Nothing quite screams class like arriving at a castle in your finest after tramping across two muddy fields to get there (please don’t actually do this!).
