Here is a link to our location on Google Maps. The A82 leaves Fort William, heading north and passing the turn-off to The Road to The Isles and then the Ben Nevis Distillery.  After a short distance, Ben Nevis is visible on the right.  Shortly after this  take the road to Camisky and Highwinds.

We are four miles from Fort William, beside a quiet road with lovely views over farmland, looking towards the mountains.

Please be careful when driving north, not to turn right at the sign to Torlundy. The turning to Highwinds is 200 metres further on the left, signposted Camisky.

When driving south, the turn off to Camisky is 1.5 miles past the Nevis Range junction. Look for the road signs that alert you to a junction and the Torlundy sign. The Camisky sign is on the corner.  Turn right here.

Caledonian Sleeper Train to Fort William

If you’re travelling  from the London area, the Caledonian Sleeper is an incredible option. Leave Euston Station at night, sleep in your comfortable private cabin (or generously sized chair) and wake up surrounded by the Highlands! From Fort William there is a handy bus (listed below).  It is a five minute drive to Highwinds if you are being collected, or are hiring a car.

Train from Glasgow to Fort William

A more budget friendly option could be getting a train to Glasgow and then a train from Glasgow Queen Street to Fort William In my opinion the easiest way to plan a train journey is to use Trainline.

Bus from Glasgow to Fort William

The bus from Glasgow to Fort William is another option and there are two options the megabus or the city link bus, the citylink bus stops at the torlundy bus shelter which is a 5 minute walk from Highwinds Holiday Lodge.

Bus from Fort William to Highwinds Lodge

If you get to Fort William and if none of your party are able to pick you up and taxi is not an option you can pop onto the 915, 916, 917, 919, 920 bus signed to Inverness and get off at the bus shelter just before the turn off to our little road. (it is the first stop)

By Air

Flights to Inverness or Glasgow. If coming from Glasgow use the same options as above, if you’re coming from Inverness then this is the bus route to our Torlundy stop.
